Subject: A fine depiction of the Wisteria Pergola in Central Park with children playing and adults watching over. A richly executed piece with beautiful colors and wonderful impressions. Comes displayed in a beautiful wood carved frame. This piece is signed on the bottom left corner.   Harriette Bowdoin was born in South Hadley Falls, Massachusetts. She had a varied and very artistic career. Known as a painter, illustrator, and worker in crafts and as a teacher she spent most of her adult life in and around New York City. Bowdoin studied painting with Sir Frank Brangwyn in France and with Henry Snell and Elliott Daingerfield in New York. Her wonderful and sensitive impressionist renderings of interior motifs endear her to that movement at the turn of the century. She exhibited her works at the Art Institute of Chicago (1911-18), at the National Academy of Design (1913-20), at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and at the Society of Independent Artists in 1917. She joined the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, the American Watercolor Society, and the New York Society of Painters.

For international shipping that is going outside of the US will include the sales receipt with the full customs value. At all times the buyer must pay for customs, duties, and taxes. In the case that the piece has suffered any damage during delivery, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item to report the damage. Please note that the damage must be photographed and all packing materials must be saved at the time of signature and reported immediately to us. We will then assist with any shipping damage claims or returns. Please also note that we cannot ship to P.O. BOX addresses.

 Return Policy 

If you wish to return your item please do so within 14 days of delivery date for a purchase refund, no reason necessary. Please note it is best to contact us within 7 days of receiving your item to make a return. Further, the item must be in the same condition as when sold. The refund will not include any shipping or packing fees and the return shipping must be covered by the buyer using the same shipping method on which they were received and insured for full retail value. A refund less the original shipping cost will be issued once the artwork has been received in the same condition as when it was shipped, including documents and packing materials. Please note that we will not be accepting for return after 14 days of the delivery date. However please also note that returns for items damaged during shipping or at the hand of the buyer will not be accepted after 14 days of the delivery date.
