Alloy Carabiners
Alloy carabiners are the backbone of most height safety systems. The best harnesses, lanyards, devices and anchors would all be impossible to use without the modularity provided by connecting components such as carabiners and scaffold hooks.

Our carabiner range is extensive and varied, yet focused and versatile. Our connectors come in many shapes, sizes and with various gate locking mechanisms. From the innovative Revolver connector/pulley hybrid to our new ANSI compliant Klettersteigs, you can be sure that we will have a connector to meet and exceed your requirements.

I-Beam technology and keylock gate/nose interfaces are prevalent in most of the range. Our carabiners give excellent strength to weight ratios and ease of use in all situations.

Boa 30kN HMS Range
Oversized, yet still ergonomic and user-friendly, the Boa family of connectors are ideally suited to applications where large connector volume and gate clearance are required. The large HMS shape allows for easy rotation of Italian hitches in tension rigging applications and the smooth curved internal form makes rotating the carabiner through attachment eyes simple. The large, curved, pear shape basket works like our DMM Ultra O carabiner when it comes to stacking (i.e. No un-nerving jumping when weight sharing) and the general oversize makes handling simpler when used with gloves.

The Kwiklock version balances security with speed of clipping and is widely used in fall arrest applications.

The Kwiklock automatic locking system is the fastest gate locking mechanism and the simplest to operate. It also provides a convenient solution to eliminating the chance that the gate will accidentally be left unlocked. It has a double action requiring a 90° twist of the barrel to allow the gate to be opened. When the mechanism is released, the gate springs shut and the kwiklock barrel springs back to the locking position – This happens almost instantaneously giving excellent security in a minimum time.

Top Tip: Kwiklock locking mechanism work brilliantly with captive eye or captive bar connectors to form easy-to-use lanyards that require minimum training for use.

Kwiklock ANSI and CSA
To improve on our original Kwiklock designs, we developed an off-axis Kwiklock barrel and a Taperlock nose that both dramatically improve the gate push-in and cross gate strength. All Kwiklocks listed ending with ANSI meet and exceed the requirements of the new ANSI standard – ANSI /ASSE Z359.12-2009 – which became effective November 2009.All ANSI certified carabiners are then certified to the requirements of CAN/CSA Z259.12-01 (Class 7211-30)
