sentimentale, instabile e pazzo, politico e sociale, passionale e
romantico della dicotomia. Tutto in Universo è in dicotomia.
“L’idea
E molto
altro. Perché l'album ospita, in “Everywhere in the world” la songwriter
Buon ascolto.
Rimarrete stupiti.

Two friends, two musicians, just one passion: music.
Luca
Damassa and Mauro Giorgi are Hernandez & Sampedro, two guitars, two
hearts that beat as one, two worlds: Ravenna and America. Two their
records, so far.
The new one – once again published by Route 61 Music
with exclusive distribution by BTF - is titled “Dichotomy” and number
two is its main subject. These two musicians are an entity divided into
two parts which are not mutually exclusive; on the contrary, they end up
being complementary. Their new CD is ideally divided in two sides
(actually it’s a 10-song in a row long run, with all tracks separated
from the contiguous ones by the warm crackle of vinyl: just listen and
you’ll understand), one more acoustic, the second electric. Dichotomy
reinforces, revealing the album's concept. The lyrics emphasize the
sentimental, unstable and crazy, political and social, passionate and
romantic side of dichotomy. Everything in the Universe is in dichotomy.
“The
idea of dichotomy - reveal Hernandez & Sampedro – came to mind
about two years ago, maybe less. Actually we were born [as an acoustic
duo] but there is an electric heart in our music, and there has always
been a band in our dreams. Now we’ve got everything. [The dichotomy is]
the perfect concept to describe who we are, our two minds, our artistic
diversity that come together in a unique style. The same idea recurs in
the lyrics: hatred and love, white and black, life and death, balance,
and madness”.
The music? It’s always the same, with much more
experience. Because Hernandez & Sampedro are two souls who rejoice
in music, who carry their music on their shoulders and bring it
everywhere for hundred nights a year. A large river with two sides:
CSN&Y on one side, R.E.M. on the other. And so on. Because the album
guests the American songwriter Mary Cutrufello in “Everywhere in the
world”; and also because there is an instrumental entitled “Morricone”.
Happy listening. You will be amazed!

10.On the verge of insanityA tre anni dall’uscita di “Wake Up Nation” il bluesman milanese Daniele
Tenca pubblica per Route 61 Music il suo quarto album “Love is the only
Gang e altri musicisti italiani di area roots in “For You 2”, omaggio a
Bruce Springsteen).
Daniele,
già apprezzato in numerosi blues festival e rassegne americane, trova
songwriter e cantante.

Three years after the release of
“Wake Up Nation”, Milanese bluesman Daniele Tenca is now releasing on
Route 61 Music his fourth album “Love is the only law”, the third in a
row on the same record label.
This LP features the precious
presence of Guy Davis, one of the most appreciated bluesmen worldwide,
and repeatedly nominated for the Blues Awards; here Davis plays the
acoustid guitar, and is a co-producer together with Antonio ‘Cooper’
Cupertino and the same Tenca. The latter is also accompanied by his
‘enlarged family’ Blues for the Working Class, nothing less than his
live band since 2010.
Already appreciated in many blues festivals
and American events, Daniele finds here a new maturity point and a
perfect balance between blues and songwriting. With his previous works,
he says, ‘I wore the uncomfortable shoes of Jiminy Cricket; singing
about job insecurity and socio-economic crisis I tried to say something
about all of us. Now I want to tell a lot about myself, knowing that
telling me I’ll also tell a lot about you, or at least I hope so’.
