How does it work? The MN2014 Rail mounts onto the Nagant’s rear sight base. A spring pin is inserted through the rail and rear sight base’s existing hole and a pair of set screws are then tighten to exert counter pressure on the pin and barrel. The set screws also allow the user to adjust the pitch of the rail while ensuring the lowest possible height of the rail above the bent bolt.
Will it hold? At first glance, the unconventional floating bridge design may appear like it would flex under the Nagant’s monster recoil, however, this is not the case . Design Dynamic computer modeled the MN2014 rail using sophisticated CAD models and computer stress analysis followed by conducting live fire prototype testing over several design iterations. The MN2014 owes it’s strength to it’s arch--which (like a bridge) distributes it’s load across then entire length of the rail offering it a firm and solid feeling rail! In fact, one of the most common comments we receive from our customers is just how incredibly stiff and rock solid feeling the rail is--contrary to what they had expected!
WILL IT FIT? We've verified the MN2014 Nagant Rail fits the following Mosin Nagant models, however, since WWII rifles may not adhere to tolerances as tight as modern day rifles, we offer you a 100% money-back guarantee. If it doesn't fit, we'll refund your purchase price.
