This map opens to a generous 38" x 19½" and has great detail on old road alignments.

On the reverse side there are inset plans of Calgary, Fort McMurray, Medicine Hat, Edmonton, Lethbridge, and other cities.

The map was published in 1987 by the Alberta Department of Tourism and is dated in the legend. The cover photograph shows a highway with mountains in the distance, along with an inset of an Olympic torch runner — promoting the 1988 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XV Olympic Winter Games, held in Calgary.
