This glossy photograph was obtained by the original owner in 1949, is guaranteed to be from 1949, and was issued after the New York Yankees won the pennant but immediately prior to the World Series.  The corner hinges which kept it in an album are still present and the back is blank.  The New York Yankees would go onto win the World Series over the Brooklyn Dodgers.  Look for a similar 1950 New York Yankees American League Champions photograph in another of our listings.
