For sale is a truly unique collectable from the Boston Red Sox at Oakland A's game- September 3rd, 2016.  This would be the 2nd game of Boston's top prospect Yoan Moncada's MLB career.  Moncada debuted the night before, Sept 2, in the 8th inning he has his first AB- a walk, and in the 9th, he struck out- but made no bat contact in either plate appearance. On Sept 3, Mocada would groundout in 2 pitches in his first at-bat in the 2nd inning (that would be the first batted-ball of his career). This specific ball came in to play in the 3rd inning (Moncada's 3rd official MLB AtBat and 4th plate appearance), with Daniel Mengden pitching for the A's.  Moncada would foul this specific ball, and it would be removed from play for authentication (making it the 2nd ball to hit his bat in the majors). On the VERY NEXT pitch- Moncada would hit a double to left field- recording his first MLB hit, extra-base hit, and RBI. This is an extremely rare opportunity to get such an early-career authenticated ball for ANY player- let alone the top MLB prospect.  With playing time limited for the Red Sox in the pennant race, 2016 Moncada game-used balls will be nearly impossible to find EVER.
