Vintage high school science film that explains the cell as the basic structural and functional unit of all known living organisms. Shows two boys in the country walking along a stream with their dog. Boy holds a frog in his hand. Plant life of a silver of onion viewed through a microscope, showing a cell wall and a nucleus of each structure that makes up an onion. The white spots are called vacuoles. Most of the material inside the cell wall is protoplasm. When a water plant is view through a microscope the protoplasm is in motion. Protoplasm is the life substance of plants.
