Bolsius Aromatic's scented tealights allow you to create an ambiance in any room, quickly and easily. The scent and colour run all the way through our tealights. The great advantage of this is that the character and the intensity of the scent remain constant, allowing you to enjoy the same wonderful fragrance all evening long!
By opting to burn either just a one or several tealights at the same time, you can vary the intensity of the fragrance. This also makes tealights very suitable for use in smaller rooms.
Tealights are available in packs of 30. The 30-piece pack consists of a handy storage box, making it a great gift idea for family or friends!
We want you to experience the maximum enjoyment and pleasure from our candles. All the candle brands we sell take great pride in making them using only the finest quality ingredients and materials. However, it’s very important that you burn candles responsibly to ensure their safe use. Please follow these guidelines to keep your candles a bright and beautiful part of your life.
The Three Basics of Candle Safety:
1. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
2. Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire.
3. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
The Proper Way to Burn a Candle
Before lighting
• Trim the wick to 1/8 inch each time before burning. The safest way to do this is with a wick trimmer. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
• Always use a candleholder specifically designed for candle use.
• Burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
• Place the candleholder on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
• Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
• Follow the candle’s recommendations on burn time and proper use.
While burning
• Never touch or move a burning candle. Never move a votive or jar candle when the wax is liquefied.
• Don't burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains.
• Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for unwanted drafts before re-lighting.
• Always keep the candle within your sight. If you are going to leave the room, be sure to first blow out all candles.
When extinguishing
• Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. It's the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.
• Never use water to extinguish a candle. Water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might break a glass container.
• Make sure the candle is completely out and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.
• Don't touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
• Keep wick trimmed to 1/8 inch at all times. The wick should be trimmed every 4 hours of burn time. Simply extinguish the flame, let the candle come to room temperature, and trim the wick to 1/8 of inch before relighting. Our Wick Trimmers make this task easy and creates a nice clean cut that properly maintains the wick.
Storing Candles
• Candles are sensitive to light and temperature, so be careful when storing them for any extended period of time. Avoid colour fading, melting or cracking by storing candles in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight or fluorescent light.
• Storage temperature should not be allowed to exceed 27oC or fall below 0oC. Exposure to moisture may inhibit relighting.
• Follow these guidelines when traveling as well, extreme temperatures in your car can easily melt or freeze your candles.
Cleaning Candles
• Should the mouth of a jar candle become blackened while burning simply extinguish the candle, allow to cool and carefully wipe the jar with a dry paper towel or try our Candles wipes, which are formulated to quickly remove black soot residue from virtually all types of surfaces.
• To avoid such blackening keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" at all times.
Clean Spilled Wax
• We strongly suggest you seek professional advice from cleaning experts such as carpet cleaners or furniture refinishers.
