This is a reproduction toilet tank lid. These lids are custom designed with sophisticated 3D modeling software and manufactured in North Carolina. It is available as a beautiful sapele wood tank top simply coated with marine grade spar urethane to provide moisture resistance and also available to match any toilet manufacturers original color. The wood lid is glazed with an enamel epoxy coating so that it matches the color of your existing toilet. In most cases we already have the resin on the shelf in the color you need, but in some cases the color has to be ordered. The wood is primed to accept the finish and the finish is designed to last essentially forever. It hardens to a consistencysimilar to automotive paint and is chemical resistant so you can clean it with normal household cleaners.
The lid is designed to accommodate tank internal parts that stick up as much as 0.2" above the height of the top of the tank. If you have a fill valve that sticks up above the tank more than that height, you can possibly replace your fill valve with an adjustable height Fluidmaster 400A fill valve, or we may need to custom design a lid to accommodate your internal parts. Please contact us if this internal clearance will be an issue.
In addition to offering any tank lid we've identified in these reproduction listings, we can custom manufacture ANY toilet tank top. This means if you need a lid for a tank that we've never seen before, we can still supply it. Simply take a piece of cardboard and place it on top of the tank, and as accurately as possible trace the outside of the tank. Mail us that tracing and we will be able to manufacture the lid for you.
The lead time for these lids is typically 1 week to allow time for manufacturing, sanding, filling, priming, glazing, and curing. However, if we have to order the color you need we will notify you and that will typically add one week to the lead time.

The biggest question we get is about the color of a tank lid. Probably 90% of the time it is a white lid, although white for toilets is not a bright white. It is more of a creamy white. The next most common color is called Bone or Almond (manufacturers use different terms for the same color). This is a light sandy tan color. If it is available for that particular item, Biscuit is a color about halfway between White and Bone. If you are unsure about the color you need, the easiest thing to do would be to take either the broken lid or a bolt cap from your toilet to a Home Store where they sell toilets and ask them which color you have. If you prefer, you can also mail us this sample and we can determine it for you. If you need ANY color we don't have in stock, but we do have "some color" in stock, we can reglaze the tank lid in stock to the color you need at a minimal additional cost, usually $10-$40 depending on the color.
