The select maple used is "sap" or white grade but some light brown streaks are not uncommon and are very carefully blended in.
• Dimensional tolerances are close but can vary +/- 1/8"
• Our cutting boards are sealed food grade mineral oil and bees wax in our shop prior to shipping.
-This not only brings out the beautiful color of the wood but protects against the harmful effects of drastic humidity and temperature changes sometimes seen from shipping long distances.
- Wood likes gradual change!
-Boards are available without sealer upon request.
