First introduced in the Old Testament, spikenard is probably
most well known as one of the expensive perfumes that the woman anointed Jesus
with in Bethany.
JOHN 12:3Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Spikenard was highly prized as a

Spikenard is also known as nard, nardin, and muskroot. The amber

the Spikenard Oil was used as perfume, medicine, and in
religious ceremonies.

for anti-fungal, antibacterial, larvicidal and insect biting deterrent
