Description: Scarce. A nice copy of the first printing of the first edition in its original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper has wear and chipping to the extremities, a mark to the rear cover, and a small professional internal reinforcement to the top of the spine (see pictures). It is not price-clipped and shows the original 13s 6d price to the inside front flap. The book itself is in very nice condition, having been protected by the dustwrapper all its life. Clean and free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square. One of the scarcer books by Frances Crane (1890-1981). This is the true first printing, with the "12.64" code to the bottom of the copyright page.
