Combining the best of 2 worlds, Italy’s Super (Retro Super Future) eyewear and Australian creative duo, Perks and Mini, or commonly known as PAM (Perks and Mini, designed the 2009 “High” Summer Sunglasses Collection.
Adorned geometric and abstract shapes as match to PAM’s own apparel line, each of the 2 designs highlights the blithe side of life the green “It’s Easy Being Green” frame and the blue “Love Is Blue” frame.
The P.A.M x Super Sunglasses were limited to only 200 pairs worldwide, 100 in each of the two colourways available. The colourways are named “High Summer – its easy being Green” and “High Summer – Love is Blue”.
But can you believe that these limited edition sunglasses somehow got even ‘more’ limited edition after being stolen from the delivery van!
Yep – thats right, they were stolen from the DHL delivery van in Italy on the day of release!!! (Super Sunglasses are made in Italy)
So the Super Sunglasses crew had to replicate a whole other limited edition 200 sunglasses set and just to prove they are still limited edition sunglasses, Super released the second set with only an inprint on one of the arms of the sunglasses. The original (stolen) set had imprints on both of the arms.
After the second release, the stolen sunglasses were recovered in both colors and sold by Bottega BackDoor.
This is the first limited edition of only 100 pieces for world-wide color, so if you are interested do not think too much, you could have in your hands the first release of PAM x Super Sunglasses with imprints on both arms,… Somehow that makes these colaborative sunglasses even cooler...
