Nearly half a century after they were introduced, the Cooke S2 and S3 prime lenses were still prized by cinematographers for their unique look. Cooke finally introduced the modern S4 primes which quickly became an industry standard with their warmth and gentle focus falloff that flatters faces gracefully.


Cooke S4 optics offer superb optical and mechanical performance, control of flare, distortion, veiling glare and spherical aberrations at full aperture. The cam-type focus mechanism allows for smooth focus adjustments.
