Description:  A very nice copy of the first trade edition, in its scarce original dustjacket. The book is SIGNED to the front free end paper by Martin Secker to his fellow-publisher A S Frere-Reeves. 

The dustwrapper is not price clipped and shows the original 10s 6d price to the inside front flap. It is worn and stained but still attractive (see pictures). Original blue cloth hardback. 224 pages. Tissue guard to frontispiece. The book itself is in very nice condition with just a little fading to the spine (see pictures).  Top edge blue, other edges untrimmed. Binding sound and square. Internally clean. A nice copy. Scarce thus signed by Lawrence's publisher.
