This is a nice pictorial overview of tanks and armored fighting vehicles, from their development in WWI to the 21st century. There are pictures of these vehicles as well as illustrative color drawings, some of which are cutaways. The accompanying text tells something about their development, some important specifications and a little about their use. While the range of vehicles covers is reasonably large it is not exhaustively complete. Vehicles from major producers (Germany, USSR, Britain and France) are supplemented by those from many other countries (China, Sweden, Japan, Israel, Iran, Singapore, ...). I was pleasantly surprised to see that many vehicles that are left out of other books, or are confused, are covered reasonably well here. For instance, both the M18 (Hellcat) and M10 US tank destroyers are covered, whereas some books leave one or both out, or confuse the two.
