This laptop has an astoundingly beautiful screen for it's age - with a 1680 x 1050 display resolution, and that classic ThinkPad look I was thinking of doing a frankenpad, or a T62 - maybe even the LED upgrade. But I got a T420 for a really good price, and this has just been sitting around.

I installed Windows 8.1 on this machine, it runs ok - but this would be a perfect garage or shop PC with a Linux install.
