Offered today is an very old ox bone scrimshaw carved Japanese sword in fair condition. It measures 20" long and 1 1/2" wide. It is in 4 pieces with only 2 breaks missing pieces of the bone (and one tiny in a third). The blade is in fine condition and the ink in the scrimshaw is dark. There is also a crack in piece #3 (counting down from the end of the sword see the final photo) and the end is uncovered as you and see. There are 5 motifs on the one side and 4 on the other.So, you are buying this "as is" and I hope that I have photographed all imperfections.
I think I have priced it very fairly taking age and condition into consideration.
