Body serial number 288240 dates to 1938/39 with Leica Wetzlar Summar 50mm F2 Serial number 406120 dates to 1937. Both remarkable original condition (have film in it at moment but confirm it works well).Very slight brassing to rear top of body but absolutely superb condition. The shutter has a lovely firm action and wind on is smooth. Leica Manchester fitted a new sleeve to shutter button to prevent accidental exposures. The lens is superb - silky smooth focusing, firm lock position, silky smooth aperture - this holds its position perfectly too. Original lens cap could do with re-felting to internal ring to make fit a little more secure. Comes with the leather case and strap as shown. A joy to hold and use. Complete with the Weston Master II light meter in its leather case.
