#DBZ4300 When I first began building Fine Scale Miniatures kits (manufactured by George Sellios) many years ago, the part that I enjoyed the most was the realistic weathering and scenicing. Nothing irked me more than to build a model in a brand new, pristine condition. I began looking for something more that what the FSM instructions offered. Don't get me wrong, I owe a great deal of what I learned about building models from building early Thomas A. Yorke kits, Model Masterpieces kits, Builders in Scale kits, Timberline kits; heck, there's even a thing or two to learn from building the Campbell kits. By the way, not to be a name dropper; but both Brian Nolan & Dave Revelia both use Doctor Ben's products to finish their award winning dioramas! So, in other words, if you want to make your models looks as bad as their models look, you have to use what Brian & Dave use! Doctor Ben’s Rustic Lumber Instructions: Other than the Natural, the previously offered "tinted" Rustic Lumber was stained with our Doctor Ben's Weathering Stains (Oak #1081, Pine #1082, Driftwood #1097, Durty Black #1091, Antique White #1092, Barn Red #1089) to give them a more character. The pre-stains Rustic Lumber was discontinued because customers liked saving money by thinning them down to create their own original Rustic Lumber! Each Package Contains about 300 Pieces of 3/64”x 9/64”x 5-1/2” for N, HO, S, O, G & Military Models, too! This Listing is for one (1) package pictured above-right. "We Turn Toys into Models!". These products work best in conjunction with other Doctor Ben's Weathering Products as well as competitor products. We recommend trying Realistic Rust on top of Instant Age and vise versa. As with all of our products, for the ultimate realism, apply turning your object upside down allowing gravity to pull the residue to the top of the protrusions. This way when you turn it right side up, the residue is not running down towards the bottom of the models and the effect looks just like real life.
