Germany(Bavaria), Scott #169, used (o), 1919, King Ludwig II overprint, "Volkßtaat Bayern" (Republic of Bavaria), imperforated, 80 pfennnigs, violet, Scott 2019 catalog value: $20.00.  Wide margins, full classic circular socked on the nose cancellation over main image ("MUNCHEN, 22 20 56N"), sound back, hinge remnant. This is not a 'bait-and-switch' offer. The stamp you see will be the stamp you receive.

At catalog value $20/used and 25¢/mint, you have to worry about a forged cancel; it is too inexpensive to send off for certification, but this stamp has a key indicator that it is likely authentic: it has a full heavy cancel with mailing details on the city of mailing and day of mailing.  As a collector of used stamps, I have been studying these forged cancels for years both withGermany and Italy.  Most forgeries have light, off-center cancels that lack the details of mailing post office and mailing date data.  So, I think this stamp has been correctly postally used in the period of issue.

I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail.  Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery.  I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used. If not satisfied, return the stamp to me at your own expense, and I will refund the cost, but not my postage to you.  If the stamp is not as described,I will refund the cost and reimburse you for postage both ways.  If you purchase additional stamps, up to 100stamps, from my listings, I will consolidate the shipment, and there will be no extra shipping charges.  However do let me know that you are making multiple purchases, and also let me know if you want me to delay posting until you make an accumulated purchase. I do want you to be happy with your purchase, and I do want to economize for you on your shipping charges.

By way of reference, I am an American Philatelic Society member (195176). Thank you for looking, and I hope this is the perfect stamp to fill that gap in your collection.
