Evans Hydraulic drum heads are synonymous with the classic, dead drum sounds favoured by engineers and producers during the 1970s.

Constructed from two plies of 7 mil with a thin layer of oil sandwiched in between, Evans Hydraulics are the sound of vintage 1970s recorded drums but still retaining great attack and exceptional durability. For those guys who find tuning their drums a little on the challenging side, Evans Hydraulics will tune up just fine and deliver their unique fat Rock sound in seconds (just don’t expect a wide-open, Be-Bop vibe!). These have Hydraulics have been brought back from the dead! clear red plies, gold logo - they look exactly the same as they used too!
