Description
This is a fine Philippine barong that is 24” (61cm) in length with a razor sharp, 18.50”, finely forged blade. There is a very slight pattern on the blade's surface. It has not been cleaned and is in its original condition. The handle is exquisitely carved from burled bunti wood, and wrapped in woven chord. The ferrule-collar is made of silver. The scabbard is finely carved at the top of the throat on one side. It is in excellent condition overall for its age. There is a tiny piece of horn(?) and some rattan missing from the very tip of the scabbard.
