Description:  A very nice copy of this great collection of seventeen stories some of which first appeared in Astounding Science Fiction and Unknown between 1941 and 1949. The first printing of the first edition. Original hardback in the original dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is not price clipped and still shows the original $2.75 price to the inside front flap. The dustwrapper is in nice condition with light wear to the extremities, and some neat professional reinforcement to the inside of the dustwrapper (see pictures). The book itself is in very nice condition, with light wear to edges and a little rubbing to the front board (see pictures). Small residue tape marks to the front free end paper, otherwise internally clean and bright. Binding sound and square. Stories include Armageddon, Placet is a Crazy Place, The Hat Trick and The Angelic Angleworm. A very nice copy.
