A LIMITED EDITION PRINT AUTOGRAPHED BY A PROMINENT RAF SPITFIRE ACE

As the clouds begin to break, the lush English countryside can be seen below as a formation of RAF Spitfires from
66 Squadron complete a long range fighter patrol during the summer of 1940. 

THE SIGNATURE

This atmospheric piece by world renowned artist Gerald Coulson was published in 1992 originally signed only by the artist. We’ve had a few copies in our UK Gallery for some years which we have had countersigned at one of our events by a famous RAF Spitfire Ace:

Squadron Leader ALLAN SCOTT DFM 
he joined the RAF in March 1941 and after completing pilot training was posted to 124 Sqn at Biggin Hill to fly Spitfires. Aboard HMS Eagle he then went to Malta to serve with 603 Sqn and later 1435 Sqn from the island, again on Spitfires. He saw considerable action during the October ‘Blitz’ and through this heavy fighting with Bf109s and Ju88s was credited with at least 5 victories and 2 probables. Returning to the UK he spent time as an Instructor before serving with 122 Sqn on P-51 Mustangs over Europe. His final tally was 6 victories.

Gerald remains one of the most collected aviation artists in the industry and this is a great opportunity to grab this print, with a really great signature.
