*Up for sale here is quite the handsome looking and interesting Victorian era clear case gin bottle, with the striking cobalt blue applied seal. The two tone seal has some clear striations among the blue. This is all very crisp, as it is embossed ~ "DANIEL VISSER / & ZONEN / SCHIEDAM". The old clear glass will turn a nice amethyst color, if left exposed to the sun over a bit of time. slight shade of sun colored purple. It has the hand finished tooled tapered top, and would date from the 1890's to about 1900. There is a crude piece of extra glass stuck to the side of the neck when made. This example is in sparkling clean mint condition, with no issues what so ever. Displays handsomely as seen here. It is in the quart size and measures 11 1/4 inches tall, and 2 3/4 inches square at the tapered base. A very nice and quite interesting Dutch case gin bottle, which you will be well pleased with.
