Oskar Zimmermann studied at the Vienna School of Applied Arts under Albert Paris Guetersloh and Berthold Loeffler as well as at the Vienna Academy under Hans Larwin and Wilhelm Dachauer. Works by him are displayed in various Austrian public collections. From 1957 on the artist was a member of the Vienna "Kuenstlerhaus".
