1920’s Muller French Wrought Iron Chandelier, 

Handblown Shades Globe, Art Glass, Art Nouveau, Signed

This very handsome authentically French chandelier from the 1920’s in the Art Nouveau style has a handblown glass dome and three smaller handblown tulip shades, all in an orange and blue colored swirl, or “marmoréen”, pattern. The dome and the shades are signed “Muller Fres. Lunéville”, the mark of Muller Freres, brothers who were renowned glassmakers located in Lunéville in eastern France, near the city of Nancy, renowned capital of French Art Nouveau. They produced Art Nouveau and Art Deco art glass from the beginning of the twentieth century until 1936. The hammered wrought iron frame is beautifully designed with leaf motifs in tole. This chandelier is in very good condition with the exception of some rust on the frame, a very tiny chip on the inside edge of the central dome, not at all visible when in place, and a very slight discoloration on the central part of the dome due to age and use. It will need to be electrified to the standards of the buyer’s home country. This stylish and authentic chandelier will add an elegant element of French lighting to your décor.
