Up for auction is this antique brass-barrel large-format lens by A Laverne & Co. Paris lens for the Swinden-Earp Camera.

There is a 26mm (approximately) slot for Waterhouse-Stop Aperture settings, (not included in this sale).

It mounts with a 38mm (approx) attaching flange, (not included in this sale).

The glass is in excellent condition, almost flawless.

It retains its original unpolished brass patina. It has never been assaulted with Brasso.

It would be difficult to find a better version of this rare, historic lens.

NOTE: This is one of a list of over 100 lots of photographic lenses, cameras, photography books and a few other items that came from a large estate of a noted 80 year old photographer and collector of antique photographica.
