This is a fine J S Sharpe of Aberdeen The Eighty Eight
8'8" impregnated cane 2 piece trout fly rod with staggered ferrule, line # 6
great all round trout fly rod with med action
low bells metal butt ring, snake intermediates,
burgundy silk whipped , 7-3/4" shaped cork handle,
bronze anodised alloy down screw reel fitting and butt cap stamped with makers details,
the staggered ferrule has the original cane extension plug
the spliced joint takes away the normal flat spot created with the standard ferrule spacing
giving a much better casting action and parabolic curve
good straight rod no sets or repairs, all original
comes complete with makers clo
