ON DEMAND WE ISSUE A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (money-back-guarantee)

According to the old authentic legend on verso, it is a portrait of certain Louis Charles Moreau at approximately 10 years of age, painted in April 1824. The author of this highly qualitative miniature was well-known French miniaturist, working at that time in Paris, Jean Pierre Feulard.

Jean Pierre Feulard (1790 Chateaudun - 1849 Le Havre) was a pupil of Aubry. Although he also painted portraits in oils and pastels, it was the miniature painting that became his main sphere of activity. Feulard exhibited at the Salon of Paris from 1819 to 1848.
