Offered here is a clean WALTHAM dive watch from the 1970's. This watch is in running order and is keeping time. Water resistance is NOT guaranteed. If you plan to dive with this watch, it must first be sealed by someone experienced with that procedure.

I have just completed a thorough clean and oil of the movement. The mechanical movement is stem-wind and must be wound daily for it to keep running. No battery in this watch.  Date indicator advances as designed.

The stainless case is in nice condition showing gentle wear. I see the usual nicks and scratches but nothing too distracting. The case measures 35.5 mm.   Case back shows some scratches.

The black colored dial is in good condition but does show very minor spotting. The dial markers and hands look okay.  The rotating elapsed time bezel functions as designed.  The numbered minute track is in very nice condition. Night lume on the hands no longer glows.

The one piece green color NATO type strap is brand new. It looks very nice on this watch.

Plastic crystal is polished and looks good. Overall it still is an attractive watch with years of life left.

14 day no hassle return. If you are not pleased with this watch, just email and let me know that you would like to return for refund and upon return of the watch, I'll refund your money.

                                                        BEFORE YOU BID

                                               Please consider the the following:

The watches I'm selling are 40 to 60 or more years old.

They will not keep time like modern quartz watches do.

All will show wear consistent with age.

These are smaller size watches with most cases measuring 25 mm to 40 mm. Gents watches were smaller back in my day. Accurate case size measurements are taken and will be stated in the description.

You are buying from a retiring watchmaker, and it is time for me to thin out my collection of watches. Yes, I repaired and collected. I've always liked watches.

Most, but not all, of the watches I'm selling will have been cleaned and oiled and tested by myself prior to listing. Servicing status will be so stated.  They will be adjusted to run as accurately as I can possibly make them run. Accuracy will vary according to the quality of the movement.  None of the mechanical movements will be quartz accurate.

I will not sell a watch that I do not believe is running at an acceptable rate.

I take high resolution close up pictures so you can see what you're bidding on. Please study them carefully.

International shipping is available through the Global Shipping Program only. International bidders should be aware that there will be additional costs involved with getting your purchase into your hands. Of this I have no control.

Thanks for having a look at this really nice Waltham diver watch and if you bid, best of luck. Many thanks to those that have bid on or purchased a watch from my collection.

With Regards,

Tom
