Italian-Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello initially attended LaCambre for sculpture, but after catching the attention of Karl Lagerfeld he began working at Fendi designing for their fur collection. In 2009 he showcased his first ready-to-wear collection in Paris comprised of five leather and organza miniskirts which caught the attention of the industry. With the balance of dark silhouettes and fundamental structuring, Vaccarello designs subtle vulnerability into minimal, contemporary pieces.
