German Gas Mask Z56 w/ Two Canisters, Container, Accessories

The canisters look like they've never been used.  I have no idea if the gas mask was ever used.  I also have no idea why one canister looks new and the other looks vintage.  Straps and latch work fine and appear to be in good condition.    There are cosmetic defects such as scratches, a little rust, small dents and so forth.  Some listings date the item from the 60's.  I have no idea.   Please let me know if I'm listing the item incorrectly.  Thanks for your help.
