Canon Digital Rebel T5 Camera Body.  This is sold AS-IS, for parts or repair only.

I have attempted to describe the camera as best I can. It may have other problems I have not mentioned. Please ask any questions before buying it. Buyer assumes all responsibility for any and all problems the camera has.

Camera Body, strap, and body cap as shown. Nothing else is included (NO Battery included.)

I bought this body used, and I don't know what is wrong with it. Everything seems to be working, except:

  • Auto-focusing does not work at all, and the aperture shows up as 0.0. It does not seem to be communicating properly with any lenses (I tried many lenses which work fine with other bodies.) The gold pins that interface with the lens appear to be in good condition. No dirt, damage, or corrosion on them.
  • Every time you take out the battery, it asks for the date and time when you put a battery back in.

Other than that everything seems to be working. The shutter works fine, it writes to the SD card fine. Flash works. All the modes, menus, and buttons appear to be working. Using the lens in manual-focus mode it takes pictures just fine (except that you can't control the aperture). The camera itself is in very good condition, no signs of any physical damage. The shutter count is less than 1500, so this camera has barely been used. I already tried all the easy fixes (reset all the settings, updated the firmware) so it seems like some kind of hardware issue.
