There are many reasons to display a BEWARE OF DOG sign on your property. You might want to make your visitors aware of your dog, so that they are not startled by it.  If someone who is considering breaking into your home, you might want to inform them that they will be met by your protector upon entry. You might want to give an intruder this message even if you DON'T actually have a dog, to deter them!
