If your brakes are not working properly or as efficiently, it could be that your brake linings are worn or contaminated with oil, grease, dirt. This special brake drum lining replacement kit contains a pair - sufficient lining material to do two brake drums. They are appropriate to all Revox 1/4" reel to reel machines and many Studer machines.
The lining has its own thermo-setting adhesive which is cured in a normal domestic oven at 150 deg C. (For the G36 there is special limited baking due to the bakelite composition of the reel hubs). An instruction sheet is available detailing how to do it all. Its not difficult. Please note - the kit contains 2 brake lining strips sufficient for one machine. Please also see our triple kit - particularly if you have never done this before!
HOW TO PAY
Generally ignore postage cost. Place your order / purchase or use the shopping cart (if your ebay country uses it - some dont have it) - but do not pay yet. RATHER “Request an Invoice from the seller” so that you can get combined postage. If ebays says I dont do combined postage - they are wrong and just trying to rip you off - contact me directly in that case. Just one more thing, Please may I suggest you don’t just order brake linings only as the postage will be high. We sell parts like this as a complimentary service to our full kits and other parts. Combine postage on multiple items is the way to go. The postage on the other parts or kits you order will usually easily cover the postage for the linings. Hope that all makes sense. Thanks.
