This is a 35 mm negative adapter for use with the Opteka Slide Duplicator (search Ebay for many of these duplicators for sale). This was custom made for use with 35 mm film negatives. Unfortunately Opteka never made a 35 mm adapter for their Slide Duplicator.

Quality flatbed film scanners can cost upwards of $500 and dedicated film scanners can cost several thousand dollars. The Opteka Slide Duplicator provides consumers who own a digital SLR camera the ability to digitize 35 mm slides and now 35 mm negatives for a fraction of the cost. While the Opteka Slide Duplicator was not intended for use with negatives, it will work quite well for that purpose if one has the proper adapter as well as the necessary software like Photoshop to "reverse" negative images, mirror them, and otherwise adjust them as necessary. It is imperative that your digital SLR camera has the option for manual focus for the Opteka Slide Duplicator (and subsequently this 35 mm adapter) to work properly. Please make sure that you have the proper knowledge and software to utilize this adapter as I do not have the necessary time available to provide one-on-one technical support.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Ebay has recently changed rules for international buyers. If you are buying multiple items from the same seller you can no longer combine shipping. Ebay will also require you to pay immediately so I am not able to send you an invoice for combined shipping. Unless something changes (or unless you know of a way to combine shipping that I haven't found yet), your only option is to buy and pay for each item separately. This will likely result in overpayment of shipping charges. I always refund overpayment of combined shipping charges, but unfortunately Ebay charges sellers a 10% commission on the original shipping charge and will not refund the difference. Important additional notes:

- If you are buying my holders for resale, please be aware that my products are more about "function" over "form." This is why they are so inexpensive compared to other commercially produced options. Each holder is custom made and may contain spot sanding and other finishing marks. I do my best to clean my products up cosmetically, but due to sales volume I simply can't spend a lot of time on it. My main concern is that it works like it is supposed to. As a result, if you are reselling please be aware that you may need to do some more finishing work suitable for a retail environment.

- Aftermarket holders for odd film sizes will usually require the ability to manually scan film strips with "thumbnail" modes turned off. Depending on your model and software, masking of individual frames for scanning may be necessary for the best results. Please ensure you know how to set your scanner/software for full manual control. Simply pushing a green button on the front of your scanner (common with Epson models) to scan a film strip will not work with most aftermarket film holders.

- Please pay particular attention to the "handling" days before shipping as noted above. I do not typically maintain an inventory of my film holders as most are custom made upon order placement. As such, I ask for 5 business days handling before shipping. My average is likely around 2 days, but there are occasions where orders are very high and I may need all 5 business days before I am able to ship your holder. Please keep this in mind.
