Pair of 18th century Kangxi plates (1680-1723) Chinese plates; one perfect & one as is; c. 1710.


Photo #8 shows the hairline crack, visible from the back. The hairline is on the plate that’s in the front in the first photo. Other flecks and imperfections were part of the firing process and have been there for over 300 years. In fact, you can tell the difference between the two plates by identifying that one has a brownish glaze imperfection on the front of the plate and the other does not. 


The plates are 9” in diameter.
