Manau Rattan is the very best rattan available in the United States. It is denser and stronger than any of the other commercially sold rattans. All rattan is premium straightened rattan. Because we cut each stick to order, we often have shorter sections that are useful for the construction of cross guards, clackers, handles, and other fighting parts. Having used rattan for decades, we understand what a fighter wants.
Currently available diameters include:
- 3/4" - 1" - VLight - These are the sizes that are used for Youth Rattan weapon cores.
- 1" - 1 1/4" - Martial Arts - These are the sizes that are commonly used in a variety of eastern martial arts.
- 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" - Fast - A light to medium weight stick that can be used for faster shots.
- 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" - Standard - A medium to heavy weight stick used for authoritative shots.
- 1 3/4" - 2" - Heavy - Specialty weight that is more than typical for rattan combat.
Descriptors speak to the sword length rattan as guidance for diameter.
A note on Length:
The length that you select from the dropdown is the range within which the rattan shall be sized. What you receive will be from that measure or longer.
We can custom cut anything up to about 9 feet, but shipping costs can be considerable on long packages. Reach out to us if you need something specific.
Note on shipping cost calculation:
Single stick orders calculate fine. Multiple stick orders may calculated as confusingly high. If you are concerned about the cost as shown by Ebay please reach out to us.
