RARE 1989 ELVIS COSTELLO & Rude 5 "SPIKE" Rock Band Concert Tour T-shirt Fab Condition
Rare 1989 SPIKE Elvis Costello Concert T-Shirt from one of the most novel venues I'd ever seen him at!! The concert was Elvis Costello with Rude 5 on August 17, 1989 at the Lake Compounce Festival Park in Bristol, CT. It was a wacky concert surrounded by amusement rides, carny games and cotton candy!!
Rude 5 included:
Marc Ribot - lead guitar, cornet, Eb horn
Jerry Scheff - bass, tuba
Larry Knechtel - keyboards
Pete Thomas - drums
Michael Blair - percussion, accordion, vocals
Steven Soles - vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, trombone
Most of these T's have plaid lettering on the back. This is the only one I've seen with green lettering, other then the pile of shirts at the concert vendor booth! Perhaps it's the wacky venue! The NYC Paladium show had the plaid lettering, as I recall!
This is in near perfect condition, worn maybe once then stowed away. Graphics crisp and lovely, like new. No defects or holes found beyond some slight green transfer that looks to be from the printing process. Soft shirt that's been machine washed (cold) and dried so unless you wash in hot water, it shouldn't shrink. TIP ~ I always turn graphic t-shirts inside out to wash.
Sadly, tags drive me crazy so I often cut them out. It feels like 50% Cotton 50% Polyester but with no tag, you'll have to decide.

1" crew neck
17" side seam
42" across chest (pit to pit)
42" across hem
