This is a classic mid-century modern design, created by the famous designer Don Wallance for Lauffer in 1953. Lauffer called this pattern Design 1, and it is also known as Design 21 or Design 2721 by C. Hugo Pott. Both the Lauffer and Pott pieces were made by Pott at the same factory in Germany and are identical except for the markings.

Like all Wallance designs, this design feels nicely balanced in the hand. It was made with high-quality 18-8 stainless steel. The knives were made with a slightly different composition of stainless steel, therefore, it is common for vintage knives from this era to have some tiny black spots. Each piece is hand-finished and shows very minor variations. There is also some variation in the manufacturer markings on some pieces. If you are trying to match a specific marking, I will do my best to accommodate. These pieces will look great on your table or in your collection.
