Up for sale is this fine porcelain M.I. Hummel figurine plaque from Goebel. This one is called "Retreat to Safety" and features a little boy who has climbed up on a fence to save himself from a green frog/toad. It carries Full Bee TMK-2 stamp, the second [TradeMarK] used by Goebel, introduced in 1950 and used thru 1956. This piece is in very good condition with no chips, no cracks and no repairs. There is a crazing on both the front and back (visible in the photos). There is also a small spot on the upper right edge where the color has been worn off - under magnification, it looks like it came into contact with something abrasive - see last photo. The piece measures about 5-1/8" tall is about 5" wide and 7/8" thick. I believe the brown hanging string to be original. Thanks for looking.
