This an absolutely stunning sculpture by military artist Andre D Gauthier (1935-2017)

The piece is called “Snowy Owl”. "Snowy Owl" (1980) depicts a Snowy Owl in early winter, the main charge of the badge of the Canadian Land Forces Command and Staff College

Andre D Gauthier was a well known retired decorated colonel, before he became a sculptor. His works sit in the homes of 2 Prime Ministers, The Governor General, and British Monarchy.

Gaulthier’s statues and monuments (many large and permanent) can be found across Canada, in museums, and internationally.

For his list of most prominent works (including “Snowy Owl”) please see below link and artists CV.

This is an absolute gem for any serious collector.

There is a small piece chipped on the back of one wing. I have checked with art experts in NY and it is very easily restored. Not visible from the front whatsoever.
