Louis Toffoli est un peintre français né à Trieste (Italie), le 16 octobre 1907, d’un père italien et d’une mère slovène, et mort le 18 février 1999 à Paris
L’œuvre de Louis Toffoli est connue dans le monde entier. Les toiles de Toffoli s’imposent d’emblée au visiteur, la lumière est transparente traversant toutes les formes, elle semble sortir des peintures et l’impression de pureté qui s’en dégage crée une profonde intimité avec les personnages.
