Depicts  A male decoy sitting on top of the snow or countertop with pine branches around him in the background, there  is a flying duck pair, a mallard and a hen.  In the foreground, there is a spare bullet casing next to the decoy.  Sign twice in pencil on lower right.

 Measurements: approximate
 Image only:  8 x 6 inches
Image with double mats and wood frame:  13 x 11 inches

On the back is suitable for framing with the sawtooth hanger at the top and cardboard backing.

What makes this print unique is that the spent metal casing next to the decoy is rather large. It is shiny and casts its own shadow.  Is the artist trying to tell a story? Obviously Mr. Fisher loves to paint ducks and decoys. But is he also a hunter?  If the gun owner did shoot the flying pair, it would be unfortunate because there is an unwritten rule not to shoot a hen.  Or perhaps is the artist trying to be humorous and say that he shot at least once but didn't hit a duck?  The beauty of this piece is that it conjures up a lot of different conversations.
