For your consideration is an outstanding gem "black" boulder opal from Queensland, Australia. It features an especially brilliant (4.5/5), electric display of primary colors, including emerald green, sapphire blue, vibrant gold, and fire-engine red! As with most extremely bright opals, this one is directional. The slightly contoured pear cut gem weighs 2.85 carats. It measures 14mm long by 8.5 mm wide by 4mm deep. The stone has no cracks or crazing. There is a small void in the opal layer on the right edge. As ever, this is an ALL-NATURAL, untreated, genuine gemstone.
