This brand new vacuum solenoid is not a Mopar part but is MADE IN USA and does the same thing as the original.
It allows vacuum to be supplied to the air grabber system when the engine is running but will automatically close the trap door when power is interrupted to it, in case the trap door was left open when the engine is turned off.
It is usually mounted out of sight, under the dash and never seen.
Why pay hundreds of dollars for NOS, used or repro parts, when this unit will do the job for much less.
To all my past and future customers: Thank you for purchasing or considering to purchase from the original seller of these vacuum solenoids. Please be aware that others imitators on ebay are selling a similar, but old and outdated solenoid with a dry and brittle filter. Ingestion of foreign material could cause damage to your engine or air grabber system. They are touted as "tested" however, once tested with a brittle filter, unseen parts of the filter will disintegrate and/or possibly clog up the air passages. Remaining pieces of the filter could contaminate your engine or air grabber system. Others also claimed they sold more of these units than I have. That is completely false. I have been selling these for years with hundreds of satisfied customers and not one return before any copycats emerged selling an inferior product. Even my feedback left for others was copied - how lame is that? Check my feedback history - all positive. Others have also claimed to be selling the "SAME EXACT" solenoid as I do, but again, that is false. As stated in my description, my updated solenoid comes with the new gray colored filter installed to protect your installation vs. an old brittle filter and is made in USA, not an import as sold by others. As a result of these false claims and other violations of eBay policies that listing was removed by ebay and the violator warned. Those claims are no longer made, although the item was relisted. Please check photos closely and carefully to inspect faulty filters and compare to my new gray filter. It's too bad that many people were deceived and did buy these units with old, dried out filters. For those of you who did, please contact me if you are interested in trading it in for a new updated unit at a substantial discount. I will make a separate eBay listing for it. Sadly, there are some disreputable sellers on ebay, but it is sometimes up to the ebay community to police itself and fight for what is right.
