This listing is for one of our stainless steel fermentation vessels capable of holding 300 litres in total and brewing around 220-250 litres of beer. We have been supplying tanks such as this for 6 years now and have found them to be very good indeed for brewing. We spent many months designing and testing these tanks until we were happy to use them in our own brewery, and can now offer them for use in yours. When starting our brewery we wanted a fermenter with temperature control (as we has no cold room) but couldn't find any - so we set out to design and build our own.

Two taps are included, one connecting to the centre of the base, the other 50mm up the side wall. A conical bottom to the tank ensures that every drop of liquid can be emptied from it - we use the side tap to allow us to run off our finished beer whilst leaving behind the yeast in the cone. The tank, including the base, is clad in 50mm of insulation which is then covered in another layer of thermal wrapping. The result is a superbly efficient vessel that will keep ferments at your desired temperature be it high summer or the depths of winter.

A stainless cooling plate is fitted inside the inside of the tank, through which coolant (either plain water, or Glycol if you're lagering) can be pumped from a standard bar cooler. The control of the cooling system is achieved by use of a digital wall box which is connected to the tank and can read the internal temperature to an accuracy of 0.1C. The control box can be set at any temperature i.e. 22C for ale brewing, or 12C for lager brewing and will allow a change in the internal temperature of no more than 1C before it kicks in and begins bringing your ferment back under control. The best part is that this system is totally automatic and needs no further input from yourself. When your ferment has finished it is then possible to 'crash cool' the contents to whatever you desire, be it 14C for ale brewing or even as low as 1C for lagering. Yes, we have made lager in these very tanks ourselves.

The dimensions of this fermenter are:
750mm wide
1400mm tall

Please feel free to visit our plant to see this. We invented this system and are extremely proud of what it could do for your brewery, even if you're in the planning stage still. Please note that these tanks are in stock at our facility and are ready for collection/delivery. Some vendors will only import these tanks from Europe once you have paid in full. You can collect this yourself, or we can deliver it on a pallet for £59.

A note on deliveries:
Our charge of £59 for delivery of a pallet is an average cost for all UK customers. The charge to us for sending a pallet is very variable with some postcodes cheaper, and some much more expensive - up to as much as £125 for some areas. We never seek to make a profit on deliveries, so if you'd like us to calculate the precise fee to deliver to you, please get in touch first and we might be able to charge less than that average fee. We also reserve the right to cancel an order if it will cost us much more than the fee we charge you to deliver it to you. If you live in a remote area, please also get in touch before buying so we can be accurate about the cost to deliver your pallet.

Some of our other listings are for plain (unmodified) tanks which we can fabricate to your own spec. It is also possible to convert these plain tanks into other brewery vessels such as HLT, kettle, etc. Please get in touch for details and prices.
